2012 award winners

University of South Carolina School of Medicine announces winners of first-ever Memmys video contest

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine is pleased to announce the winners of the first-ever Memmys student-produced video contest. The contest featured 29 entries from health professions schools across the United States and the globe. For their efforts, the winning schools have earned a combined $5,000 for their school’s library.
Taking home top honors and the $2,500 first prize award is the Drexel University College of Medicine.

Second place honors and a $1,500 award goes to the Illinois College of Optometry

Finally, the third place winner and recipient of a $1,000 award is the University of New Mexico
School of Medicin

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine created the Memmys video contest as a way for
health professions students to express their creativity and showcase their talents beyond academic accomplishments. The contest was open to any health professions school and the video must have
been created within the last five years.
